Located on the continental divide in the Marvel Lake Valley; western buttress of Wonder Pass. on the border of Banff & Assiniboine parks, Alberta/BC border. Major headwaters Bow & Kootenay rivers.

Named by Arthur O. Wheeler in 1917. The mountain features large, tower-like spires. Official name.

First ascended in 1916 by Interprovincial Boundary Commission

This mountain is sometimes confused with The Tower in the Smuts Creek valley north of Spray Lake.
